user reviews of the Glory, Rawtenstall

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Being the last remaining pub in the Loughclough area, one would expect the landlord to make a little more effort. The decor is tatty, the carpet threadbare and the beer hit and miss. The landlord is totally oblivious to the beer issue arguing nothings wrong.
Unfortunately food is no longer sold in this establishment despite the landlord having some flair in this area. The Glory used to be famous for miles around for its super Sunday lunches and beautifully cooked steaks. But alas no longer.
You are of course still able to order a pack of pork scratchings from behind the bar.
The Glory welcomes people with dogs providing they are kept 'under control'. The landlord himself has a generally friendly alsation which can pester other dogs at times.
Thursday night is the busiest night these days as this is Quiz Night. Arguably one of the most difficult quizzes in the land. The articulation and flamoboyance of the quiz master 'Cottage Bill' is something to behold. Despite being fuelled on only whisky and fags Bill can deliver an all round excellent evenings entertainment an is highly recommended.
The main ingredient in this pub are the locals. Without these people this pub wouldn't exist any more. I wonder if the landlord recognises this?
