| WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THIS PUB???? I KNOW IT WAS CLOSED FOR AGES AFTER CHRISTMAS BUT SURELY IT MUST HAVE CHANGED HANDS BECAUSE THE PUB IS HORRIBLE NOW. THIS WAS ME AND MY MATES FAVOURITE PUB THE ATMOSPHERE,MUSIC WERE BRILLIANT AND ALTHOUGH QUITE OLD FASHIONED THE PLACE WAS IMMACULATELY CLEAN. NOT SO NOW. IT IS FULL OF FOOTBALL SHIRTS AND GOLD CHAINS WITH A REALLY BAD ATMOSHERE THAT IT WILL BREAK INTO A FIGHT AT ANY MINUTE. THE BAR LOOKS DIRTY THE STAFF LOOK DIRTY AND THE DJ JUST STANDS THERE AND LOOKS REALLY OUT OF PLACE. I HAVE NEVER KNOWN A PUB GO FROM SO FANTASTIC TO SO HORRIBLE IN SUCH A SHORT SPACE OF TIME. | it's usually very busy over the weekend, but the staff are good and you usually get served quite quickly. It does draw a gay crowd, but there is no hassle. It is a fun a livley pub and shouldn't be missed! REDG73 - 3 Jan 2008 11:21 |

| Typical straight boy responsies, if u cant handle being around queer men dont go in there !! Simple as that. I am straight and this pub has been my local for more than 10 years and ive seen all the changes, including 3 landlords, but the regulars stay the same. Even tho majority of you dont know it, this is one of the most successful pubs in blackburn attracting crouds from all over the North West ! | quite busy on a saturday, mixed crowd, but unless you bat for the other side be careful on a sunday. more fags than a tobacconists...and be warned men...if you do go to the toilet dont shake it more tham 3 times, because thats classed as playing with it and you might end up with some attention you dont need....... politeguy - 17 May 2006 18:29 |
