| Such a shame but the whole of this pubs thatched roof caught fire the other day and totally burnt the whole roof off. | This pub has been taken over by new owners. It has been completely redecorated. We hired the function room for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary and had a fantastic time. The buffet ordered was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and the evening went well. Prior to the function we had been to try the Sunday Roast - I can highly recommend the food and the service. It's now so good, it's a good idea to book a table. We loved every minute and will certainly be back for more. If you need a function room - look no further. | I was struck by both how friendly this place was as well as the relative inexpensiveness of the lunch menu (for what was on offer); no "confusion or unhelpfulness" today.
