Just changed hands - looks like a young family in charge of the place. Really nice modern décor.

Nice pint of Thatchers Gold or three ;-), pub is Wadworth so all the usual beers.

Sunday roast was nice, not as cremated as usual - looks like they've got ideas for guest ales and some interesting menu items.

Note: not open on Mondays. What's that about?

Now a fully refurbished gastropub, more than a bit chic. Excellent food and service even if the presentation is a bit silly at times. The Wadworth's IPA was as good as I've had. There is talk of improving the skittle alley as a games/TV/skittles bar.

Not boarded up at all. (Those are the blinds on the windows in the photograph!!)
New landlords moving in soon so I've heard on the grapevine (July, I think). An amazing location, so hopefully it will reflect this and become a real destination pub and a great one for the locals in the village. And maybe even the Duke of Somerset himself!

Glad to see the worst landlord in the world has now left - or perhaps forced to move by the brewery!

Has this pub been abandoned ? Judging by its picture above, it's been boarded up and someone has put the keys back through the letterbox on leaving. Oh, and by the way, can anyone tell us where to stay for a visit to Longleat - preferably a Pub with accommodation that does food in the evening?? No rating left, not visited yet.
