Nice little historical pub gem but surprisingly no real ales when visited so opted for Guinness(3.50) 6/10

Reasonable place to go for a couple of pints to break up a shopping trip, slap bang in the centre.

Was here a couple of weeks ago and once again enjoyed the visit. Nothing wrong with the ale and the bar staff were friendly enough. Worth a look in if you've not been before

Fantastic traditional pub ideally situated at the very centre of Chester. Looks amazing inside with all its snugs and corners. also it has a great atmosphere and friendly staff.

odered food from the lunch menu and was pleasantly surprised by the size of the portions and there was a great choice on the menu. the food was presented well and tasted exellent. Decided to return friday night with friends and was again amazed by this wonderful pub. I A pub that caters for all people and a refreshing change from the rest of the non atmosht was packed with a mixed crowd and total change from the relaxing day time. The music was fantastic with a real party atmoshere. well worth a night out. Would recomend this pub to anyone of all ages. makes a refreshing change from the other bland bars and pubs in the area of chester.

Had lunch in one of the two seat snugs. It was busy with tourist and ale prices were higher than say the Bull or the Boot. John Smith was good in a clean glass. The meal was tourist typical bland.
