Found this place whilst looking for The Chequers (one alley away), dark wood interior appears to be off the tourist list. Marston's beers in the main, Brakspear Oxford was fine.

Fairly basic drinking hose. The Doom Bar was good. More of a 'local' than a place to impress people!!! But I liked it.

One of the only decent pubs left in Oxford, a good mix of locals and tourists. The jukebox is one of the best i have come across, It does live music in the upstairs bar most nights, the beer is well kept and reasonably priced. The barstaff are always friendly and up for a bit of banter. if you are out and about in the city centre this pub should be first on your list of places to drink.

A bit tired, but worth a stop if you're doing the High Street crawl. Comes third after the Bear and the Chequers, though.
