| Recently had a venue in the evening and supplied our own food and food service items. The music was overly loud for a confined space, the beer was marginal, and later when we went to collect the items of our own (some professional catering standard trays) the pub barman just shrugged it off as if it wasn't their problem. I can only guess that they either gave the items away, or are currently using them for themselves in the pub. I don't know, as I said I can only guess. But the total lack of concern and care of customers own goods is worrying, along with being shrugged off after asking politely! | Super nev is right...if you like proper beer go for the lager (in my case I went for Stella). Saying that, as a pub it does have an old fashioned locals feel to it and was reasonably friendly. Another of those places where I wouldn't go out of my way to visit yet I wouldn't bypass if I fancied a drink (of some sort). You do tend to find most comments on here either praise or criticise - this is one of those 'neutral' kind of commnets where the place 'is what it is' - it's a pub where you wouldn't expect a pub and although it doesn't do my taste in beer it is a locals kind of local. anonymous - 31 Oct 2009 22:29 |
