user reviews of the Fox and Hounds, Longthorpe

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

I have just had my 70th Birthday Bash with a group of 12 friends. The team really made a tremendous effort to make it a happy occasion. They provided balloons, stickers, birthday napkins and party favours off their own bat. We had a splendid evening in a super atmosphere. I really cannot speak too highly of the effort made before and during the evening. Lovely food, pleasantly served and good company. Who could ask for more? Thank-you the Fox and Hounds team

This pub has been through a number of hands over the last five years and the service, food and beer quality has varied wildly through that time. With the inconsistency a lot of the lunchtime trade has been lost.

That said, when it's in good hands it is a cracking little village pub. At the moment it is going through a good patch, well-managed and with a good menu and attentive staff. Hopefully it will continue to improve and word-of-mouth will lead to custom returning. Given the catchment area it would be a shame to lose it.

Part of the Chef & Brewer brand. Has two or three real ales on. Range of food available. Often busy with people eating, particularly at lunch times.
