Finally made my first visit on Sunday night, been wanting to go for ages as it's only a couple of minutes walk from my house. I was greeted with a very warm welcome and enjoyed a perfect pint of Moorhouse Brewery Blond Witch; hopefully one day I'll get to enjoy a pint of their other beer: Witches Brew.
Beer festival starts Wednesday, fingers crossed I can finish work early one night this week and get there before last orders.

Busy pub with friendly staff, I had the Blackthorn whilst my friends both had the Otter which they thought was in good nick. Oh, and its not that far up the hill boys, I was expecting a trek when I saw some of the comments, its nothing to worry about.

Alway did keep good ales. A bit too near my ex-wife though.

I think this is well worth the trek up the hill. A warm and friendly welcome, 4 or 5 great ales on tap, cheese or ham crusty rolls for just 1 and now home to the (soon to be) world-reknowned Garlic Appreciation Society!
