| We visited The Earl Of Portsmouth on a cold snowy evening in February,we were struck by the warmth of our welcome by the landlord, Sean, and the locals. Helen, the landlady, cooked us a wonderful meal - the garlic mushrooms were exceptional, and that most essential part of a British pub meal - the home made chips were delicious. There is a varied menu, from fish and chips to game casserole and everything in between . | Fantastic food - not your typical pub grub, shipped in and reheated. The lady chef takes real care in what she puts on the plate - you dont get boiled to death vege here! Beer excellent and the hosts very friendly. Would recommned to anyone. anonymous - 28 Jan 2007 22:37 |
