Two of us had lunch here on 15th April 2013. We each had fish pie and a pint. The food was just awful, tasteless vegetables, overcooked, tasteless fish topped with mashed potato microwaved almost to destruction. In a practically empty pub we had to wait ages and remind the bar staff. For £11.99, disgusting. Overall atmosphere was dull, external doors banging in the wind, unwatched TV moaning in the background. lorelei - 17 Apr 2013 15:08 |
Good riverside location with some nice tables up in the bay windows looking out on the Thames. Rest of the pub is a bit cavernous and bland with a chain feel. We went on a quiet afternoon but guessing in summer it's rammed with people eating. OldRogue - 2 Jan 2012 17:12 |
Nice location, good patio area and a decent enough place, usual Youngs' menu, not tried it here but have tried the exact same menu elsewhere and enjoyed. followedthrough - 29 Aug 2011 12:14 |
Good location but sorry was very disappointed with the food. Mussels were tough and tasted as if they were in dish water. I love this dish but not in this pub. Staff very pleasant though Sammyhopper - 19 May 2010 10:06 |
Cracking boozer on the river, loyal to locals and great for visitors...nice little patio and if you vist more than probably likely to get a welcome nod or 2 from the locals..good beers, not bad food and a lovely community feel that is lacking so very much these days... one warning - steer clear on boat race days! its right on the finishing line and well vey busy. upyourpub - 31 Dec 2009 10:44 |
