Went in today for a quick pint as I was waiting for the bus. Friendly barmaid served me a drink and I asked where the loo was so she gave directions and said that she would top my Carling up whilst I was gone. Quite a few ales on but they are not really my bag so cant comment but the view from the beer garden looked decent (shame it was raining) and they did food with offers on a daily basis but I didn't see many people eating so again, I cant comment. Nice pub, nice staff but only minus is Carling was a bit steep.

The roast dinners are fantastic, plenty of food on the plate-worth the money. The Sunday dinners are definitely cooked to perfection as i have never had a bad one!
Will certainly keep going back.

Sunday roast today was VERY unimpressive. Roast beef was not roasted as was the half roast potato. The roast potato was fried, the beef was stewed. The pork came out of a ready sliced packet. Over all the meal was very poor compared to what we used to have 3-4 months ago.

i found this pub very welcoming and warm.
it had a nice dinning area and the view from the beer garden was fantastic something to go and see for yourself.

Real ale usually seems to be from the Marston/Jennings/Mansfield group of brewers, and is always well kept, although sometimes only one on offer. Good selection of food, portion sizes are adequate, although the quality can vary. Quiz/raffle held on several evenings which is great if you like that sort of thing, but makes having a quiet pint and a chat difficult whilst the questions/numbers are being read out.
