| It claims to be the oldest pub on Jersey so I gave it a try. I went into the public bar which is the local's bar with tiled floor and some old bench seating which had been painted white!! A bit spartan but it did have Liberation Ale on handpump at a reasonable price and it was OK. TV screen/pool table and machines. I will try the Lounge next time ! mcroyal - 16 Jun 2012 12:28 |
| Should be a choice place to go, with age of building and real locals a pleasant change from the more touristy bars on the island. However, the place reeked when I turned up on an early evening (that hard-to-place hybrid of dirt, stale drink and fossillised tobacco), the staff were off-hand (OK - I was apparently a grockle), there were no real ales and no apparent reason why a stranger should want to remain.
