It has gotten far far better over the last 9 months, run by a couple who give a toss, beer crisps etc etc are all there everything the last lot could not be bothered with.
It is nice to look over the bar and not see bare shelves, the effort is being made and it has been noticed

nice to be greeted with a smile by friendly barmaids for a change.(good looking too).good local feel to the place.different bitters every month(hobgoblin at the mo)

Visited this pub after the match sat and charlton and gillingham supporters mixed well it was good atmosphere plenty of singing and good natured banter pub is fine prtty basic down to earth footie frendly boozer with nice looking bar girls too.
beer ok nothing special but drinkable not bad pub at all.

It is a shame but pubs cannot survive when there is a smoking ban plus the fact that it is cheaper to entertain indoors. I am a die hard regular that visited the Oak every saturday home game and I hold my hands up - I never drank there any other time as its cheaper for me and the wife to drink / socialise indoors. Perhaps alot of Charlton fans should think of this when they say their regulars....

It will be sadly missed, but im sure it will be up and running soon no doubt.
