| NOT GOOD. I've been to the Bellevue on a week night before and had a pleasant drink on a few occasions. Tonight (Saturday) I went there with my girlfriend for a drink after eating in a nearby restaurant, and had a particularly bad experience. A group of pretty drunken lads (on their way to Infernos maybe?) in the space of an hour, had hit an unsuspecting female punter in the head with a chair, and then crashed into our table, spilling red wine all over my girlfriends white coat. When we (plus as it turned out, a few other customers before us) had complained the barstaff did absolutely nothing to get them out of the bar. | The Food was very Nice & was pleased with the Prices for wine.... But the Toilets do Pong & shows a clear lack of hygiene & sort of puts me off of eating there in the Future..... Its as a Nice Pub though & had I not had to Pee, would of been Full Of Praise!! If they can sort out the Loo's then this will be a Great Place to go for your Lunch/Dinner & for drinks!! | The positives: nice decor, one of the best rib eye steaks and chips I've ever eaten, ros� was good value and very drinkable, attended by nice, friendly locals who aren't too rowdy The negatives: really horrible toilets (smelly and just not very clean) and very predictable food menu (i.e. Lots of stodge!). Also, one of the reviewers from May sounds as if they either work there or own the place which always puts me off. | This seemed like a really nice bar, location was great and decor tasteful however the service left a lot to be desired. After waiting for quite a while to get served we left when others who had not been waiting as long were served ahead of us. Louise2 - 9 Feb 2010 18:48 |
