| You'd be hard pressed to find a better situation for a pub and almost everyone was outside enjoying the sun and the views of the Bure when we went last Thursday. | Went to the Rising Sun for an evening meal during recent tour of the Broads. Whilst the food and drink were absolutely fine, the attitude of the bar and waiting staff left a lot to be desired. Made the mistake of politely correcting the barman when he served up the wrong drink and from then on he had a very rude, condescending attitude towards myself and our party of four, even moaning at us to make sure we got our table number correct implying that the mistake wasn't theirs. The staff were clearly seen to gossip and joke about customers in front of them in a very 'bitchy' manner. It's a shame as would have been a very pleasant evening otherwise. | Not the best pub in the world, but is certainly unpretentious compared with the Kings Head nearby. You get what you pay for and the pub claims nothing else. Good honest food and well-kept beer for reasonable prices. Streets ahead of its neighbour! mrcanary - 27 May 2010 15:41 |
| I work in London and am used to overpriced beverages, sadly I've found another pub that gladly overcharges for mediocre beers and wine. I wasn't the only one complaining about the prices as I overheard numerous customers remarking on the charges, not just for drinks, but also for food.
