Surprised to see a Greene King in the Peak District. But this wasnt the only one.

Timed it wrong - there was a horrible collection of middle class parent who couldnt keep their kids under control and were running riot.

Ban toddlers from pubs now.

When they left, you could see the staff had had a time keeping them under control. Not their job, really is it.

Timothy Taylor landlord OK

Maybe I'm biased against the knotweed-like creeping of Greene King as far as the Peak District, but I just didn't warm to this pub at all.

Nice enough pub, and probably the most 'publike' of the 3 in Youlgreave. I personally didn't really warm to the place however. Food seemed to feature more prominently than a pub's primary service of being a place to drink and socialise. However, the welcome was pleasant and the interior felt warmer than the George or the Bulls Head.

A decent place to stop off for a pint and a bit of food but for atmosphere and a good night, the Bulls Head is by far the best option in Youlgreave.

This is a nice spot. We stayed in the Stable room too, warm and cosy on a freezing night.

Pub is warm and cosy too, big open fire and very friendly welcome. GK beers but the Morlands was in good order, food OK - evening menu the usual stuff you get in pubs like this but an excellent breakfast, which is always the best meal in such establishments.

Excellent spot for a couple of beers or a couple of days break.

Just spent a very warm and comfortable night in the family room (Stable). Evening meal and breakfast were both excellent. Staff were very helpful and couldn't have been more welcoming - especially as we'd just made a swift exit from a cold and miserable room at The Bull's Head just down the road.
