New tenant-landlord (Peter) as from July 2009 has introduced real ales and is carefully re-building the business after the pub was closed for a considerable time, and trade is doing well. It is clean tidy and welcoming, with a pleasant beer garden & covered smoking area. I would recommend a visit if you want a change from the usual run-of-the-mill (expensive) high street style of pub

a new couple recently taken over (anton&tracy) has injected some much needed time and energy on re vamping the bar area.a wonderfull atmosphere with very friendly customers.children are now allowed back in,which creates a very chilled atmosphere.speaking to the new owners they hope to achieve a camra award very soon.the garden has been recently modernised and now boasts decking with benchs and heater lamps.

THIS IS A VERY FRIENDLY PUB, ITS HAD NEW LANDLORD/LAND LADY (GILL & GREG) SINCE AUGUST 2003. THEY HAVE LIVE MUSIC WHICH ARE BRILLIANT AND ENTERTAINING. ITS JUST A SHAME THAT THE PUB IS RESTRICTED FOR SPACE AS IT'S OFTEN VERY BUSY! THEY HAVE RECENTLY STARTED TO DO FOOD WHICH HAS TAKEN OFF VERY WELL, ESPECIALLY WEDNESDAY, GILL'S ROAST DINNER'S ARE GORGEOUS, DEFINATELY RECOMMENDED TO ANYONE WITH A LOVE FOR ROASTS.
