user reviews of the Villager, Vigo Village

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

I've been to this pub a few times when they've had live music, and I find the place a bit lacking in atmosphere. Less experienced bands, in my experience, struggle a bit to get the place "going". But I heard they've opened a Thai restaurant in the pub so I'll be going there soon to check it out.

On the plus side - they do live music ; on the minus side, a bit like New Ash Green's "Badger" , this appears to be too much like a town pub rather than a rural one, it is relatively new, but ithe vibe is less like a country estate and a bit more like a sink one ! The prsence of a couple of sensible shoes wearers was a bit of a novelty, but they made up forty percent of the entire customers on a Saturday night, weird.
I much prefer The Vigo just up the road, now THAT is a proper, country pub.

Quiet pub, unless Gary Bright gets in there, and it becomes deafening.
