user reviews of the Auchinairn Tavern, Bishopbriggs

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Having Recently visited this pub I found that its standards had fallen dramaticly from when it was taken over. the decor looked tired and dated, dead light bulbs had not been replaced and furniture looked worn. The menu was extensive but unimaginative (photographs on a menu are always a bad sign)and the food was average at best.

A big worry was the language and manners of that what appeared to be regulars, they certainly did not contribute to family friendly image of the estadlishment and made us feel quite uncomfortable at times.

My family will not be rushing back to this venue.

ON VISITING THE TAVERN AFTER THE NEW MANAGEMENT TOOK OVER I WAS AMAIZED AT THE TRANSFORMATION ON THE PLACE.ITS CLEAN,FRESHLY AND BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED TO A HIGH STANDARD AND ALL NEW LIGHTING AND FURNITURE..THE NEW MENU IS GREAT.THEY HAVE KEPT ON THE MEAL DEAL WHICH IS GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY.MY FRIEND AND I BOTH HAD THE HOMEMADE STEAK PIE WHICH IS TO DIE FOR.THE MEAT WAS SO TENDER AND GRAVY SO TASTY..I ALSO FOUND THE STAFF TO BE REALLY FRIENDLY,ASKING IF OUR FOOD WAS OK AND ON CLEARING OUR PLATES ASKING IF WE ENJOYED FOOD AND IF WE WANTED DESSERTS,TEAS OR COFFEE.THEY COULDNT DO ENOUGH TO MAKE SURE WE ENJOYED OUR VISIT..I NOTICED THIER ENTERTAINMENT BOARD ADVERTISING LIVE MUSIC AND KARAOKE EVERY FRI AND SAT SO I,LL DEFINATLEY BE PLANNING A NIGHT OUT IN THERE WITH MY FRIEND...LOOKING FORWARD TO MY NEXT VISIT TO THE AUCHINAIRN TAVERN...P.S. KEEP UP THE GOOD SERVICE
