Maybe not a good time to catch it on a Bank Holiday as only one real ale on tap - Holts IPA, which was fine if not a brewer I would go for. Food was very good - home made and tasty. Would definitely return to see what ales they have another time.

It's in a tiny village, tucked away off the beaten track, and full of locals....why would anyone else visit it? Well, the answer is that it is one of the friendliest places in the area (the owners AND the locals!), serves an excellent pint of Elgoods with two or three guest beers always alongside, and does great, fresh, well-cooked food. Lesley and Gary are something more than publicans: they keep a whole community together.....and if you want to see that in action, try their Breakfast Club at the end of each month. Actually, don't: it's far too popular already!

An unexpectedly great pub. If it was covered in dust it would get the same sort of reviews as those pubs in Pontfaen, Leintwardine and Netherton run by old ladies. This was just like being in the licensee's front room, but with GREAT beer (Elgoods Dark). Very quiet midweek, hopefully livelier when locals eat out at weekends. Visit now.
