Now called The Railway tavern... Didn't go in so can't really comment. Looks a rough and ready drinking pub (no bad thing) in Adnamsville.. locals seemed happy..

I recently dropped in this pub with my young son (10 yrs old) and found it to be very friendly and welcoming.
It appears to have had a recent change of management and a bit of a revamp and had a superb selection of beers and ales.
Very friendly atmosphere and seems to be the only decent place in Sax to enjoy a good pint ... or three ;-)
Try it you may well be pleasantly surprised as I was.

This is an awful place. Occupied by loud, foul-mouthed miscreants and smells of marijuana, No real ale. Can't think of anything positive to say. Terrible. Would rate it lower than zero if I could. How it's scored 7.4 beggars belief

went it 2 weeks ago no cask ale so had half of john smiths. the pub is in a row of cottages across the rail line from town and now the nearest pub to sax rail station as the railway is shut a few and found it ok

No answer yesterday on the tel# posted above, so don't know whether the pub is open or not. Since time was short we decided not to take the chance and stayed in the White Hart.
