| Have visited a couple of times now since the new management. Very friendly and welcoming, excellent, reasonably priced food and always at least one real ale in perfect condition available, and a large patio area outside. Highly recommended Phil_A - 23 Aug 2012 14:51 |
| New licensees Sarah and Jamie (previously of the Shipwreck). Simple local pub without piped music. Various bits of merchandise to buy. Bitter �2.50 per pint and an excellent haddock, peas and chips for �7, making by far the cheapest pub in the Shotley area. They were renovating the lounge when I was there but was planned to be complete for 20/05/2012.
