Yes, it is small but bustling and friendly and it sells good beer so an all-round enjoyable experience. The Oakham beer was Bishop's Farewell today, and was rated highly by those who drink it regularly in the Brewery Tap, so they are doing a fine job looking after their ales. My Butty Bach was also in good condition.

The Post Office Vaults is possibly the best pub in Burslem. Whilst the Bulls Head gets many of the plaudits, I wasn't overly impressed on a previous visit. This pub is very small. It has a single small bar with multiple TV screens. One above the bar was showing the Ashes cricket, whilst the other two were showing Premier League football. The beer selection was small, but sufficient - Oakham Inferno, Greene King Abbot & Wye Valley Butty Back. Cider was Oakham Oaple. The barmaid was friendly. Burslem makes a good place for a bit of a crawl and the Post Office Vaults should be included in any such activity.

Yet another pub which makes Burslem worth visiting to make up for its lack of scenic beauty. A nice friendly place with several good beers. We had to get the volume of the TV turned down but otherwise, no complaints.

Popped in for a quick half while waiting for a bus and while I'd have happily stayed longer if necessary, I didn't feel as though I was missing out on anything by delaying my journey. As another reviewer said, do they really need to have so much television in such a small area? Burslem is a good drinking area for the size of the place and this place fits in well.

Small bar with good quality ales (Oakham Citra Superb)
Needs to sort the opening time out, advertises as a 10am opening, but we were left standing in the rain until 11.10am on 22nd Dec.
