| Refurbished and reopened as the Boldmere Tap - a Joule's house. Cosy relaxed atmosphere, friendly welcome and service. Enjoyed several excellent pint on various visits. Serves food, but essentially a good local pub. 10/10. wobblybob - 12 Dec 2015 18:58 |
| I popped in at lunch time a couple of weeks ago (November 2012) and had an excellent meal. It was a Chicken Balti pie with chips and peas. It was just what I wanted, there was a big choice on offer and I could have had steaks, burgers etc or gone for something more exotic like Paella. All were very competitivly priced. The beer was good I had Marstons Pedigree always a favourite of mine. The Landlord was friendly, and the chef came round to see if all was OK which it was. | Had to think about how to rate this - This is an excellent place to watch sports - I dont go into watch footy there often but they have good sized TVS and beer is excellent - Have been in on a few Fridays and they have a DJ on .
