Nice looking spacious pub, polite barman, covered smoking area at the rear. Only one ale on when we visited, St. Austell 'Tribute', not a bad pint.

I was at the Bell on 21st January 2010 to say last good bye to the late Dorothy Sankey.

The staff made us all welcome. The beer and food were good.

I will make time to visit at evening time to see if I need to update my comment made on 26 June 2008.

Nick Phillips.

Have started going here again after keeping a wide birth for quite a few years now. New manager 'Steve', seem to have really taken the bull by the horns and food is great now. There were actually more women then young chavs in last friday, which can only be a change for the better ! lol

exclusively for the under age and the young at hearts.

To enjoy this pub you need youth on your side and to be of an age when you just discovered cider.

I would not want to drink in a place that needs bouncers.

But to be fare to the place it's a nursery for drinkers the bouncers may be to keep them in and safe.
