This pub is much improved under new management. They have a good food menu, and the food is presented really well, in the way you would expect from an expensive restaurant. The staff were more than helpful. It's located in one of the rougher areas of Goole, but there's nothing management can do about that, except keep up offering quality dining and an overall quality pub experience for their customers.

Hoped to have lunch here last Saturday - I'm unclear as to whether food is still available but there was a suggestion that it might do outside catering these days: funerals and so on. However, there was a notice saying that it didn't open until 7.00 PM ... on a SATURDAY!!!!! Went to the Spoons over the road - okay if a touch bleak.

Unfortunately don't do food anymore, but nice friendly pub, recommend it to anyone, who likes a nice quiet pint

I haven't been for a while, but I always felt this was the best pub in town. I don't remember an absence of Real Ale, and they did do some of the best onion rings I've had - ie real slices of onion batteed and fried!

No real ales, but friendly and helpful
