It's been a few years since I visited this pub's namesake nearby but I think that the Live and Let Live at Whitbourne is the slightly shabbier of the two. That's not to say that there's anything wrong with it as it looked quite cosy inside although we sat outside enjoying the view. Wye Valley HPA and Butty Bach were on sale - I tried the HPA which was good. Robinsons Flagon was the preferred cider. Food didn't look cheap but we weren't there to eat. paul_d102 - 20 May 2018 10:23 |
One of those pubs that successfully combines a locals bar with a restauarant. Wye Valley or Hobsons beers, nothing to complain about. But somehow its all a bit ordinary for me. Nice rural view from the garden, but I prefer the other Live&LetLive just down the road on Bringsty. krislee - 28 Apr 2009 19:33 |
Nice pub for a pint! Visited after horse riding on a Saturday whilst on a weekend away with the girls. Beautiful part of the world. Very friendly, good local cider but no local beer on tap. zedhorn - 23 Jun 2008 17:03 |
Wow, if you like top quality gastro food then you need to try this!! We took a drive out after being recomended by friends and we were not disappointed! We visited on Saturday last week and although the place was packed (we didnt book sorry!) the friendly staff managed to sqeeze us in with only a short wait. Everything was perfect from the presentation of the food to the service, this has to be one of the best meals I have had in ages, you have to try it!! I have heared that the Sunday Carvery is one of the best in the local area but havent tried it yet, but if the meal I had on Saturday was anything to go by then I wont be disappointed!
