| Typical Scottish bar; basic but with good beer and cheap food which was fine if you don't expect restaurant quality. We were on a cycling tour so the chips with everything style suited us fine. | Visited the Anchor several times while on Hols. Great draft Beer- well kept, good selection of Whiskeys, and food very good for the price. Has a snug cosy lounge for the food, a less snug extra food lounge, and a bar for the drinkers. The locals were v friendly once they realised you weren't an american tourist & weren't going to patronise them. Some great yarns kept us entertained till the early hours.
