I strongly object to pubs that charge nearly as much for a half as they do for a pint. This is one of them. Avoid it!

Whilst the facility was occasionally used by our business and team under its previous management, we never felt it truly met our needs. Under the new management of GARY and WILL, however we feel proud to take both clients and partners there for food or drinks.
We genuinely see The Leather Exchange as an asset to the Leather Market and are regular patrons of both its inside and outside spaces. The management and staff are friendly, professional and accommodating whatever our needs and the quality of food in particular has made The Leather Exchange our first choice venue in the area our team and clients alike.

I go here every week as I live locally, I can't speak highly enough about it so I will post a comment I noticed below on Twitter

Yes. Have tried it last week. The new chef (since a couple of weeks ago) comes from a gastropub in the Muswell Hill area and the food is amazing...

They do a three course deal with wines carefully chosen to match the food, including very nice pudding wine, or a two course menu with a free bottle of wine.

Spoke to the owner and they really seem to be onto a winner.

Hope that doesn't mean it becomes impossible to get a table...

" Had dinner at the LX on Friday night..........tried the herbed polenta with glazed balsamic artichokes, feta and walnuts, followed by the seabass on white bean puree and then the cheesecake (shared!). The food was fantastic......the dishes were interesting, the flavours fresh and all cooked perfectly. The food compares... extremely favourably to other local eateries such as the Garrison, Village East and Bermondsey Kitchen. The new chef, Nick, is a great addition to the LX and I can see the 'Leather Uppers' becoming a regular weekly destination for dinner. P.S. The cocktails are great too - thoroughly recommend the Raspberry Chilli Martini!!

" Working within the Leathermarket gives The Leather Exchange a certain ease for lunch, However just being convenient isn't really the reason we go there. The Owners Will and Gary are great guys, Tom, Halie and all the Staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful, The food is always first class, i can honestly say we hav...e never had a bad meal there and the Sauvignon blanc is very tasty, we have gone through a good few bottles!!! There is always a friendly fun atmosphere and if you haven't visited yet, i would recommend you do!!!
