Have recently become a regular here... Find the staff very friendly and witty, only popped in to start with to have a quick pint of guinness whilst the mrs was shopping but had such a good time i took the wife in on the saturday as id seen entertainment advertised.. disco & karaoke. We both had a really good night and the beer was lovely in taste and temp..... Have now made this a regular place to visit

This place looks a little like "locals only" from the outside but really its ok. On a Sat afternoon it was packed so it must be doing something right. Had the only real ale on (Lon Pride) and was suprised - it was pretty good. This is not a bad pub, give it a try. Could do with a guest ale for the real ale drinkers - landlord take note please if you read these posts !

Usually full of local drinkers during the day, a visitor will find this intimidating. However scratch below the surface you will find a freindly welcome from the bar staff..an acquired taste

Located in a side road just off the local High Street is The Jolly Caukers, A most definitely locals affair, I did however find it friendly enough on my visit last Friday (4th April), if a little odd. There were kids in prams and one behind the bar helping himself to a J20. I know its Chatham, but still Dcor most certainly isnt a plus point its tatty, with a kind of semi-navel theme. Photos of battleships adorn the walls along with various other sea related objects. There was no great choice at the bar (the usual kegs etc), though it was pleasing to see one hand pump. (Adams I believe). There is a little beer garden, though I didnt venture out there. To conclude, not a pub I can see myself entering again, though it certainly wasnt quite the dire experience I had anticipated.
