| Popped in here for lunch after visiting Bamburgh Castle one weekday afternoon. Charming looking pub with a comfortable interior and a warm friendly welcome. Two ales on offer and I had the 'Scarecrow' which was delicious. | This is one of the loveliest village pubs I have ever eaten in .The sunday lunches are just like your mothers . the staff and owners are very happy go lucky with everyone and the atmosphere is great . My family and I go there most sundays .and it is an immaculate oldy worldy pub . One sunday we went in and outside were two people having a quiet drink with their hoses teathered beside them .
