Nice bar this. Always seems to attract an interesting cross section of 20/30 somethings who aren't over pretentious compared with most Angel joints. Music is pretty mixed but not over bearing and the barstaff are always friendly too. Good selection of beers. 8/10 QueensParker - 19 Oct 2013 10:01 |
Three ales on tap when I visited for the first time yesterday. Decided not to go for the safe option of Wandle, and instead tried a new one from the London Fields Brewery, which went down very nicely - especially accompanied by a packet of pork scratchings. Friendly guy behind the bar who was happy to offer tasters of the ale. Decent enough to entice me back were I in the area. duchyjim - 8 Apr 2013 08:52 |
Was in there last month and there was an ale fest on. Two rather nice pints served by very welcoming staff and my mate equally enjoyed his special ales. It was a Friday night and had a nicemix of after work people and locals. Will visit again. AlistairVonLion - 6 Dec 2012 12:52 |
Popped in for the mini beer festival.......beer was fine, but saw the sign saying "Girls Girls Girls", and assumed there was some sort of marvellous attraction.....but no, it turned out to be the sign for the female sandbox. Damned disappointing ! Perry - 22 Oct 2012 22:31 |
Went in last week not realising they has a refurb, as it looks pretty much the same to me. Could do with a more efficient organisation of the furniture actually. Two ales on: Wadworth 6x (you used to see that everywhere) and Rev James. Both perfectly drinkable. Food now of the British grub variety and music at a tolerable level. I like it here and dont know why I dont come here more often. Planner_21 - 2 Sep 2010 17:39 |
