Not a bad pint of hogs back tea on offer here, an traditional pub

Popped in for a pint as was passing to to find Directors on tap. Not seen that often nowadays and was excellent. Visited early on a Sunday afternoon and made a nice change to find a tradition pub that was NOTserving Sunday roast on every table.
Will be back.

Nothing special, but a nice pint of T.E.A...

One of the worst pubs Ive ever been to. I had read some good comments about this pub when it still belonged to the previous owner. However the change in hands has been an utter disaster. I took some friends for a meal and I was embarrased I had suggested it. I ordered a steak and could not even eat half of it, the dog did not like it either! Definitely a NO-NO.

The landlord has indeed changed, and the new one is an ex regular well known and liked locally (and much more fun). Food is served lunchtime monday to saturday (not Sunday) and is genuinely home cooked and reasonably priced. It's a friendly locals pub with a good range of real ale (TEA, Pride, Directors) as well as the usual lagers. If you are passing, I recommend you drop in.
