A really super London pub that hasn't been taken over by one of the big chains. Tucked away behind Belgrave Square, it certainly isn't going to attract passing trade, but come mid week evening time, it is jammed. Must visit if you are in the area.

My second pub of the day in SW1 was this Shepherd & Neame pub again tucked way in a mews.

A quaint little pub but beware of the dangerous men's toilets as they have a steep step as you enter, a few pints too many and you could come a cropper!

3 of the house breweries ales were available on draught. Spitfire, Kent Best & Master brew which was good.

Mid afternoon and the sun was shining so we sat outside in the roped off seating area.

An okay pub but I did find it a little drab, I'm sure with a crowd or in the evening it's more lively...maybe I'll revisit to test the theory.

Perfect little pub, tucked away.
Warm welcome and good beer.

Yes Rex, I think you have been a little harsh on the high tables and stools, efficiency is such an important factor, and as a group of architects visiting last night, we considered this spatial matter in some depth. A decent bar with genuine Irish accents, more Embassy Regal King Size than Irish Embassy, excellent Guinness, and the first time I have had potatoes on COCKTAIL STICKS, delicious. Even the dog didn't mind as I stepped on him on the way to the subterranean bog. cathaoireacha x
