Hog's Back T E A in bad nick, tis a typical South London pikey/Chav boozer, service slow & scruffy. blobsplatt - 28 Sep 2009 05:23 |
Any place where you trip over a 'Please Wait Here to be Seated' sign as you walk through the door doesn't qualify as a pub in my book. There is however a small lounge area for drinking which is quite reminiscent of a lounge bar in a cheap hotel. I suspect that's actually what it is as there is a Premier Inn next door. I wouldn't be surprised if the place was owned by Whitbread as you often find pub/restaurant places like this adjoining a Premier Inn to cater for their guests. The beer selection was rather poor and they've stopped serving Erdinger on draught although they did have some bottles. Millay - 10 May 2009 11:35 |
This free house was serving Greene King IPA today in very good condition; also on offer were Bombardier and Courage Directors. Not an earth-shattering range of beers, but not bad for somewhere that is primarily a restaurant. john_the_jester - 30 Mar 2009 21:02 |

It passed a visit, the bar lady who served me was pleasant enough, but can def see the gloomy atmosphere in this place. there was some loud youngsters at the bar on my visit and one of the bar staff guys was def taking his time chatting to them Good do better but if you've got a bit of tolerance isn't bad bad the_original_rawnsleys - 13 Aug 2007 15:58 |
