Always four ales on; Proper Job and Trelawny seem to be fairly regular. One day the other two were Tintagel's Castle Gold and Sir Lancelot. Five days later they were Tintagel's Cornwall's Pride and Harbour Special. fugglehops - 21 Jul 2019 18:42 |
I must have been in at a similar time to Paul as the beers were the same. Didn't fully enjoy the fish and chips, might have been the oil it was cooked in. fugglehops - 25 Jul 2018 21:55 |
We had walked from Pelynt so it was time for our first pit stop after just over 2 miles! Ridiculously busy on Sunday (including an almost constant flow of taxis arriving) but still managed to get served quickly. St Austell's Proper Job, Trelawny and Proper Black as well as Rebel's Bal Maiden were the 4 different handpulls (maybe there were more) and although the cider was predictably from Cornish Orchards at least it was their 7.2% Vintage. We ended up here again later in the afternoon after completing our walk via Talland Bay. I'll venture to suggest that it's better than any pub in Polperro itself. paul_d102 - 25 Jul 2018 20:32 |
Still the best choice of real ales in Polperro. On the bar were: Fish Key's Hop 2 it, Harbour Special and Castle Gold both from Tintagel, along side Tribute and Trelawny. Food is now unreasonably high priced, so settled for just a couple of pints instead. fugglehops - 30 Jul 2016 16:02 |
Dropped in whilst waiting for the bus. Beer was good and included a new brewery in Looe. Very friendly bar staff. addlened - 27 Apr 2016 11:55 |
