| Had a lovely pint of Castle Rock Elsie Mo here... surrounded by people treating thier brats to lunch. Camra rate this place... it's somewhere that serves good beer but it isn't somewhere beer drinkers feel at home. An eatery to take your offspring to NOT a pub. I suppose a large main road side place like this couldn't survive otherwise. Well that's the usual argument - needs to sell food otherwise it would close down. Would rather the latter meself. | I've become a regular here over the last few months and I have to say it is a great establishment. The staff are friendly, the food is good and the ambience of the place is welcoming, especially in the winter months with the roaring fires. I'd like to be able to watch football here but then the place would probably not have such a pleasant atmosphere as it would attract different clientele.
