I came here yesterday, had a nice pint of IPA out of the handpump, thought the place had improved. Returned today to find an extremely rude barmaid who didn't even seem to know what a handpump was, and insisted I should drink chilled bitter. Left without buying anything and will not return.

I can't work out what this place is trying to be, but it doesn't feel like a pub, nor a bar, nor a restaurant.

Characterless. Bland.

Not very nice. Beer was horrid. Was told by bar manager to "drink somewhere else then"

I like it, it does what it says on the tin - just a place to meet mates and have a drink, no pretensions to be anything else. Beer is usually good and reasonably priced and the staff are always quick to serve you even though it can get busy on a Friday night.
