Down an alley off the main street. A worn looking pub with a kind of mini gallery set up towards the op end. Didn't rate the ale. Mainly populated with visitors to the town but then so is everything else in Keswick.

First visit to this Robinsons run pub just off the main street, we missed this one last year as it appeared to be very foodie.

It does sell food and at 6.30pm was doing a good trade but it also has 6 hand pumps with 6 ales on 4 from Robinsons and 2 from Hartley's, I had a pint of their Cumbrian XB @ 4.0%.

The down stairs is where the bar is along with seating areas for drinkers and diners, upstairs there's more of a restaurant area.

Music playing at a decent level. Good attentive service, pictures of the local area and well known local people & a well kept ale.

Long, narrow pub in the naff Packhorse Court. Six pumps dispense Robinsons beers. I had a pint of the Double Hop IPA - crap, and expensive (£3.50).

They now do 3 thirds of real ale at £3.30. There was a choice of about 6 on my recent visit.

The Pack Horse is one of the oldest pubs in keswick and serves Robinsons Ale which are excellent. The food is also of an excellent standard, the best pub food in keswick,i would describe it as being good honest pub grub.
The Publican is a genuine local character who is happy to have a good chat.
Infact THE PACK HORSE IS PROBABLY THE BEST PUB IN KESWICK
