Nice interesting old pub just off The Lanes. Beer range limited but in good condition. Aztecgoat - 28 Oct 2016 10:10 |
Excellent pub a pint or two. Have never tried food here though. Interior is fantastic and hasn't changed much in a 100 years. Always worth a visit. pubking78 - 17 Mar 2014 13:40 |
Popped in for a pint while passing this 'famous in an old film' pub on a busy Saturday in Brighton. Staff attentive, beer good but didn't try the food. micbinks - 21 Aug 2012 19:22 |
First visit to this pub and it was surprisingly quiet for a Friday lunchtime. Pleasant enough old traditional pub but with London prices (3.75 for a pint of Harveys). My pint was short measured but it was topped up when I asked, although begrudgingly. It was in good condition. The staff were generally O.K but there was no attempt to make you feel welcome. Will return if I have to but would rather not. Sussexcrawler - 21 Jul 2012 17:27 |
Randomly, one of the two bars in the pub doesn't serve ale. Fortunately the Harveys from the other was very drinkable. But, to echo previous comments, not cheap. Being situated where it is, probably won't ever be short of customers. duchyjim - 17 Jun 2012 18:38 |
