Please ignore the comments from a couple of years ago, when this place was vile. It's now a very nice pub with good Holden's and good, well-priced food. After a few years in the doldrums Dudley is starting to pick up again.

Went here for lunch with my father and wheelchair which is where the first black mark is given, there appears to be an entrance on the front but impossible to get chair through with the cars parked so had to use side door which is on quite a slope & tricky with a chair.
Once inside the transformation from a very tired & grubby Beefeater to a smart, contemporary bar with separate area for diners was amazing with sofas, window seats & tables in the bar all gleaming, Holden's have done a great job on the upgrade of this place, the second black mark was when asking for a pint & a half of mild only to be told, despite the pumpclip, that it was only available in bottles whether this is a permanent arrangement I don't know so we had the regular Holden's bitter which was excellent, we ordered our food at the bar from the ever helpful barmaid/waitress & took our seats in the dining area with the food taking around 15 minutes.
Overall an excellent addition to the real ale scene in Dudley town centre along with the Lamp Tavern (Bathams) & The Courthouse (Free) with the added attraction of a substantial menu.

Went in for a meal on a Friday afternoon with 3 kids in tow. The bar downstairs was quite busy so we opted for upstairs which was empty. Our drinks and food order were taken promptly and food arrived with 15 minutes. All the staff we saw were quite young but polite. The bill for 2 adults 3 kids 2 courses I drink each came to 30.
The low rating is due to the food, I remember coming here in the 80's when it was still a private members club. The dining experience was of the very highest standard and somewhere you would come for a very special occassion( sea bass, tornado rossini) . Those days are gone, the menu could be from any pub menu anywhere steak and bugers everything microwaved or deep fried. . I counted 8 unavailable items on the already small menu. The food arrives bland and uninteresting, the chips are cardboard tasting thick oven variety that bring on a raging thirst. Overall a disappointing family meal.

I have been to the Fellows on several occasions and have been disappointed on each occasion. The food is of poor quality and the presentation is as bad. The group of people i have been with have all complaint about the standard of the draught beer and lagers. Although this does not effect me as i drink wine, the standard of customer service is disgraceful the language of the staff horrified me! Even from the managers who are very young but in a position were they should know better. The only time i have felt the customer service is of a high standard has been on a saturday morning were i have been greeted and welcomed by probably the most professional staff that the fellows pub employ.

Staff that can't be bothered, no real ales, hardly any draught beer. Not a place to visit.
