Made a nice change to drink something other than Greene King or Adnams in this part of the country.
Joe C's Norfolk Kiwi and Bitter Old Bustard slaked my thirst perfectly.
Not sure if taste and price would make for a session.

The Joe C's beers were very up and down, the service wasa bit too polite ,silly hotel attitude. The beer was 3.60 a pint and was the highest price in Wells equal with the Globe. As pretentious as the Royal Oak is basic.A very nice Georgian building it must be said. 6/10 NOT GBG material.

Tried the 'KIWI' beer, it tasted like my home brew, slightly too sweet, and flat, otherwise a nice pub.

The 'local' ale is apparently brewed by the owners wife in a micro brewery and was very nice. It is a hotel and i think the bar area and lounge lacks atmosphere as people tend to be waiting for tables etc and it appears to be void of locals but the beer was good and worth a visit to try a local brew.

Gastrofied to the nth degree. Used to be rambling coaching inn, now targeted at the weekend/sailing market.

Decent food, reasonable beer. Nothing to get excited about.
