Oh dear, a once very pleasant pub ruined by poor Group management, and non existent pub management.Bar staff are a mix of very keen and 'we're here to chat to our mates'.Some choose their own loud TV stations, serve the first person their eyes meet, instead of the first waiting.
Tipping is a no no due to the outrageous idea that you take a 1, even if the customer is buying one beer.
The toilets are consistently dirty, any rules about smoking are ignored and tables are left frequently with glasses on them, and uncleaned.
Reason ?
1. Cannot believe that the parent chain, Greene King has regular checks on the level of service.
2. The Strange Case of the Disappearing Landlord. Does he exist or is he a figment of one's imagination ? Rarely seen, never behind the bar. Disinterested. Rumour is he's a big Bob Marley fan, hence his perpetual drowsiness.
