My family & I went to this Pub on Monday 5th April. We arrived at 12.15pm. We ordered food which we got pretty quickly, however, it was a disappointment. My son had scampi which was ok but not worth 8.45, I had vegetable lasagna off the 4.50 menu which was ok & my Mum had cottage pie also off the 4.50 menu, this tasted like boiled mince which had been put in a dish with mashed potato just slopped on top of it, it didn't even touch the edges of the dish & had no presentation value whatsoever not even browned on the top. NOW FOR THE CHIPS, I have never experienced anything like them, bearing in mind they had only started serving food at 12 noon the chips were soggy, very dark brown to burnt in colour & looked & tasted like they'd been warmed up on several occasions. I had a meal there last year & the chips were the same then but I gave them the benefit of the doubt as it was late afternoon when I ate but there was no excuse for yesterday, at that time of day I would expect the food to be freshly cooked. GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT FOR US ALL.

Nice pub. Excellant "Real" food highly recommended.
Real ale kept well, always one guest beer.
