Short walk down from Sheaf View, great pub as mentioned in previous reviews. Went to see live band Sunday 4pm, joint jumping but spoilt by too many unsupervised young children running around, won't be back until this is addressed

Traditional friendly pub serving good beer. Cosy place with several snugs to congregate in. We went on a Saturday night when there was a decent band playing a range of covers.

Lovely pub - great interior, lots of rooms/snugs and bigger open plan area to rear. Great choice of real ale, friendly staff. perfect really!. Worth the trip, only 5 in taxi from station... Possibly better than nearby Sheaf View!-inside it certainly is in my opinion!.

Pleasant pub with a wonderful interior. The oldest building in the area, although you wouldn't know it from its mid-terrace position.

Wonderful interior, with lots of snugs and traditional decor. Beer choice is not as good as it might be, but has gradually improved and is generally well-kept.

Although it's a couple of miles from the town centre, it's easily accessible and a trip be combined with the nearby Sheaf View.

An unspoilt gem- pity more people don't know about this pub. GBG listed and only a 5 minute walk from the equally excellent Sheaf View in the south of the city. The interior really stands out- surprised that this pub isn't on CAMRA's National Inventory with it's many rooms and striking features. The beautifully tiled corridor and small bar room to the left of it as you enter is reminiscent of the threatened Coachmakers Arms in Hanley. Off this corridors are other small and character-filled rooms, one of which has a large interior window through which you can see the back of the pub- very unusual. At the back it is more open plan with a jukebox and a pool table, and this is where most people congregate. Beers on offer include Black Sheep and Landlord and a couple of local guests. One of Sheffield's classic survivors along with the Bath- it's out of the way but definitely worth the trip.
