user reviews of Birch Tree, Coalville

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Large pub that specialises on good food, located at a busy roundabout. It's an Everard's place. Original & Tiger were both available. The guest ale was Salem Bridge Salem Porter, which was very enjoyable. They also had Old Rosie cider. I sat in the comfortable public bar. But they seem to have JLS's greatest hits (I'd not heard of any of them) playing at an unacceptable volume. This was eventually recognised by the bar staff, who turned it down. The lounge/dining area was much larger. A few parties were in for Sunday lunch. Moved on from here to the King's Arms in Coleorton. I'll request for that one to be added.

The postcode for this pub is wrong. It should be LE67 1TD.

It's near a roundabout on a newish road.

Recently changed hands - still serving well-kept ales. A choice of three Everards and a guest on my visit. Really enjoyed the Burton Bridge IPA guest. The pub has a superb beer garden which is a real sun trap. Well worth a visit 9/10.

Pleasant pub in the countryside at the edge of Coalville. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly welcome and a well-kept pint of Everard's Tiger on my visit. Other cask ale was Everard's Original.

Nice little pub on Main Road just outside of Coalville 2 Bars
4 hand pumps but only two in use 1 Everards Original 1 Tiger which sold for a
reasonable 2.80 a pint.
Closes in the afternoon even on a Saturday.
