Our Xmas party was organised to be in this place (why here?) and I was dreading it as I scoped the place out before the date. Was kinda obliged if you know what I mean. They had no real ale but had handpumps that were turned around - bad start (or maybe good cos if thay had real ale it would probably be poorly kept as the bar staff looked clueless). Fortunatley the Guinness was OK and fortunatley we were getting table service so I did not have to q in the bar with the overloud shyte dance music and xmas jingles. To be fair - it was the food that I was most concerned about but it was OK as in edible. Not sure why the place is so popular though. Given it 0/10 for the beer and ambieance and 6/10 for the food, so overall 3.

Poor even for a Slug. Overpriced fizz in a place with no atmosphere whatsoever. How do these places survive? Must be the totty factor later on as there's nothing else to recommend it. If you want a pint of fizz in much friendlier surroundings try Beluga just round the corner. I'm not saying it's great but it's brilliant compared to this place.

Called in last night and asked for a pint of Guinness a glass of cider and a pint of diet coke. No cider so plummed for another pint of coke. One of the young ladies in our group upon returning from the loo asked the barman if she could have the ice taken out of the coke, which he promptly did. The level of the fluid fell to roughly half way down. We then asked for the glass to be 'Topped Up'. To our amazement he declined saying the ice was included in the measure.
After a few words re: misinformation/sales of good act to no avail....................
