user reviews of the Pickwick Inn, Lower Wick

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

This place no longer exists as a pub. It re-opened in March as a restaurant called the Pepper Pot (owned & run, I think, by the same team as the Black Horse, Nibley and the Bell, Frampton). There is still a separate bar area, if you don't want to eat. Modern, contemporary decor; imaginative, home-cooked food; reasonable prices; 'trendy' menu and very generous portions. Well worth a visit, although a bit quiet so far because they haven't advertised it yet... Same phone number as above.

This pub has changed hands recently and by local rumour is changing again. In my experience, it is not as good as it was a year ago.
