Great little pub out of the centre. Friendly, good beer (Youngs) and very enjoyable food chosen from an extensive menu and reasonably priced.

This idyllic Young's pub is a million miles away from High Street in terms of clientele and service.

A little bit of a walk down Church Street brings you to a lovely area right by the Church with The Bells nestling on the corner.

4 pumps dispensing 3x Young's beers and Dartmouth IPA as a guest. I had the IPA, poured fine but was a bit hoppy for me.

There's a nice feeling inside even though it was about a 1/4 full, food was being served and most punters were in groups.

Good interior and nicely laid out, it just feels really welcoming and all in all is a cracking pub and definitely worth the walk.

Hesitate to post a review about this gorgeous pub, don't want the place full, but in fairness and mustn't be greedy here goes.Knew about 'The Bells' from way back but haven't visited for years, took lunch there on 15th. October, thought would give the wife a break. We were both very impressed with the ambience, cleanliness, decor, friendliness and efficiency of the staff. I had one of the specials and my wife from the classic menu, both meals excellent and I think good value for money, the portions were enormous. The guest beer was just right, served in the proper glass, obviously somebody knows how to keep good beer. Disabled toilet very clean with all facilities even baby nappy changing shelf. Landlady NIKKI was very welcoming and had time to chat a while. Prices a little high but I don't mind paying for good service, excellent food and beer. Will lunch again with two friends of ours and hope to book for Christmas 2012. Highly recommended.

Used to be a great pub. Looking very dated now, and the prices are shockingly high, you don't pay these prices in many central London establishments. The food is at best 'average' and terribly overpriced. Waiting at the bar to be served can be a nightmare, especially when the bar-staff seem to be more interested in playing the fruit machine!! Overheard one of the bar staff (a female who claimed to be in charge) whinging to customers about the fact that they were busy!!! Shame really, like i said earlier.....this used to be a great little place.

A great pub we found on this site when travelling through to Heathrow. Excellent food, quality and quantity they have in abundance. Only issue we had was the time it took to serve. Worth a visit and we'll be back when we can.
